The castle JABLONNÁ nad Vltavou was built in the first half of the 18th century, probably on place of an older water redoubt and was adapted in the second half of the 19th century, when the present Classical appearance was given to it. Cast iron columns, wrought handrails and statues in the castle park come just from time of this last whole adaptation. These figurative sculptures named Lutenist, Hunter, Flora, Autumn and Winter are work of a German sculptor Möldner.

The castle building is a part of the Baroque area consisting of the castle building itself, base course and park. The whole area is situated on an easy southern slope to the valley of confluence of the Jablonský and Luhový brooks on the margin of the village that can be found 6.5km northwest from Neveklov and 19km from Konopiště in Central Bohemia.

In addition to the castle itself also existence and well legible character of the whole area, namely farming objects as well as the park with preserved greenery and small architectonic objects are very important accent of evaluation of the whole area. The castle building is a prismatic object with two floors and rectangular plan 39x13.3 meters and hipped roof with mansards. The northern front to the base course was disturbed in the parterre later partial constructional modifications, whilst the first floor preserved its relatively pure look of a symmetric façade.

The castle and the adjacent small park was recently in ownership of the National Committee of the capital of Prague that was running a senior’s home there. In 2005, the castle was bought by the company ROYAL interier that reconstructed completely the castle and installed its exposition there. The reconstruction put great emphasis on preservation of the original character of the object and the adjacent park with the statues. Reconstruction of paintings in the castle interior was made with the same regard
